Golf Tournament Info

This year we're hitting the links on Thursday, May 7th at Vista Verde Golf Club.  Tee time is at 7:30 and plenty of Bloody Marys will be available to get your creative golfing juices flowing.

The event will be a four person scramble, and you can sign up as an individual golfer or partial or full team.  $80 per player (before May 6) covers golf, cart, range balls, prizes, snacks on the course, and lunch at Reata Pass following golf.  Day of registration available for $85.  Net proceeds benefit the 100 Club of Arizona.

Horseshoe Tournament Entry Form

This year's tourney preliminary rounds are Saturday, March 21st and Sunday, March 22nd.

Final rounds will be held Saturday March 28.

If you have not yet signed up, here's the entry form....if you're not into throwing, come on up and cheer on the contestants...and maybe have a couple - three beverages in the process.

Horseshoe Tourney - March 21st, 22nd, and 28th.

Cave Creek Fiesta Days Parade - Saturday, April 4th - Please contact Paul (the Chief) or Kay Klein (Parade Chair) if you would like to ride or join the decorating committee. There will be a BBQ / decorating party at Stan's on Thursday, April 2nd starting around 4pm. BYOB and the Fire Dept. will buy the burgers and dogs.

Golf Tourney - The date has been set for May 7th, tee time will be at 7:30am.

GFVFD Toy Drive

Well, hello again.  How are you today?  I'm well as well, thank you, but my mind is on something else.  It's that GFVFD Toy Drive.  I want to get a killer gift, to really make some kids christmas!  The collection box is in the main bars at Greasewood Flat and Reata Pass.  Whats that?  Yes, it is a good cause...it's going to benefit  children in need and the Positive Side of Sports program which collects toys and builds ballparks for kids in the valley.  In fact, I'm going out right now to get an XBOX 360 to put in that toy drive box!  Have a good one, ol' buddy ol' pal!

Food Drive

Hiya members!  Bring any extra canned food or dry food for our food drive.  It is all to benefit St. Vincent DePaul.  Come out and make a difference for a good cause!  The boxes are inside the main bars of Greasewood and Reata Pass.  Please, keep your dirty mitts off the Spam.  It doesn't matter how drunk or hungry you are, that miraculous cut of canned ham is going to the needy, like it or not.

P.S.  The monthly meeting will be held at this event.  It will
         NOT be held Saturday afternoon at Greasewood.

Horseshoe Tournament Results

1st Place: Cover That Turd.  They won $200, 2 gift cards to Pane e Vino
Restaraunt, and a whole box of their favorite flavor of Slim Jim. They chose
to take part of their winnings and join the GFVFD.

2nd Place: Soggy Bottom Boys (Sam and JD, both members of the GFVFD).  They
won $120 and 2 gift cards to Pane e Vino.

3rd Place: Preskitt Boys.  They won $80 and two gift cards to Pane e Vino.

Hi everybody!   Sorry this took so long, but here are some photos from the golf tournament.  We raised three thousand dollars and had a blast doing it.  Our charity will really make a difference in the lives of people who really need it.  Thanks a lot everyone!

2008 Golf Tourney

Hi all!  Come join us for a fun filled day on the brand new Vista Verde Golf Course.  We set up this fun day in the sun as a benefit for the 100 Club of Phoenix, which helps out the families of seriously injured or killed men and women of service.  It's a great foundation that really makes a difference.  After the golf we are all going to get together for a nice lunch at Reata Pass.  For any questions please call Joe Laux at 480-515-9086.
